The suiside machine consist of:
- three canisters of bottles mounted on a metal frame, about 6inches (150mm), wide by 18inches (460mm) high.
- each bottle had a syrigne that connected to a single IV line in the person's arm.
- the first bottle contained ordinary saline, or salt water.
- another contained a sleep-inducing barbiturate called sodium thiopental, and a pancuronium bromide, a paralytic medication to prevent spams during the dying process.
